About Allie Myerson
Allie Myerson is a high school senior and a native New Yorker with a strong interest in the intersection of technology, psychology, and human behavior. Her work is driven by a curiosity about how people interact with technology in their everyday lives, and how those interactions can be made more meaningful, accessible, and human-centered.
That interest has been present from an early age. In first grade, when asked to invent something, Allie created the “Technolatree,” a simulated tree designed for parks where people could charge their devices while still enjoying nature without disruption. Even then, she was beginning to explore how technology could coexist with real-world experiences in thoughtful ways.
While Allie enjoys coding and appreciates the technical challenges it presents, she is especially drawn to the human side of technology, how it shapes communication, connection, and daily life. This passion is reflected in her work creating and leading Tech Talk, where she helps older adults build confidence with technology while fostering genuine connection and conversation.
A Tech Talk resident worried that telling her children about a scam would make them question her independence. That conversation led Allie to research why suspicious requests can still be difficult to refuse, and how trust, social pressure, and AI influence our responses.
