The short version

We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics service on this website. We do not use advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or third-party marketing cookies. We do not sell or rent your information. Our hosting and email providers process it only to operate the site, protect the contact form, and deliver your messages.

This site is a simple, informational website. You can read every page without giving us your name, your email address, or any other personal detail.

What we do not collect

No accounts, no sign-ups, and no passwords. No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising networks, or behavioral profiling. No cookies used to follow you across other websites.

The only information stored in your browser

If you change your display settings using the accessibility panel (text size, higher contrast, underlined links, reduced motion), that choice is saved locally in your own browser so the site remembers it on your next visit. It never leaves your device and we never see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Standard hosting information

This website is built and hosted on Lovable. Like essentially every website on the internet, the hosting platform processes basic technical request information, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, for the ordinary purposes of delivering pages, keeping the site secure, and preventing abuse. That is a default requirement of hosting, not something we added, and we do not use it to build any profile of you or reach out to you.

If you contact us

When you use our contact form, we store your name, email address, optional phone number, reason for contacting us, message, and submission time securely with Lovable Cloud. A notification containing these details is sent to our team inbox through our email provider. We use your information to reply, arrange or follow up on Tech Talk sessions, or discuss a story you choose to share, not to add you to a mailing list.

If you share a story inspired by Allie’s research, Allie will contact you to discuss it and ask your permission before using your story or name in future research.

You can use the contact page to request deletion of your message or personal information.

To prevent abuse, we store a protected, one-way fingerprint of the network address rather than a raw IP address in the form’s security records. These records are not used for advertising or profiling.

Photos of residents

Photographs of residents on this site are shared with permission of the individual or their community. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.

Children

This website is intended for older adults, their families, and the staff of senior communities. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If anything about how this site handles information ever changes, this page will be updated first. If tracking or analytics were ever added, it would be stated here plainly.
